Some of the things we can expect when we get older are wrinkles and crow’s feet. We also know the easiest ways to fight wrinkles is to get a dermal filler or BOTOX®. But what about facial issues that go beyond just wrinkles? What about the sunspots that appeared after years of being outside? Or the skin discolorations we see from scars and acne?
It takes more than a dermal filler to solve these issues, for skin problems that go beyond wrinkles, you need the Co2re Face laser system. Using bursts of CO2 light, this system can help fix deeper skin issues. The Skin Renewal of Tulsa medical team is proud to offer this innovative way to solve some of the most annoying problems of the skin.
What is Co2re Face?
Co2re Face is a type of fractional laser which is proven to help reverse the signs of aging and clean up the skin’s issues. By sending concentrated light to different layers within the skin, the Co2re Face system can fix multiple issues in only one appointment. Some of the issues this system can fix are:
- Age spots
- Skin pigmentation
- Acne scars
- And more
Results are seen in as little as one session, with the best results appearing after multiple sessions.
How Does it Work?
The system works by activating the skin’s ability to produce collagen. Collagen is what gives our skin its smoothness and bounce. As we age, and as outside forces affect our face, we lose this collagen. The result is skin discoloration and an abundance of dead skin. The Co2re uses specific wavelengths of light to penetrate deep into the skin to remove dead surface skin and affect the skin underneath it.
As the dead skin gets removed, the body products fresh, collagen-filled skin to replace it. This results in smoother, younger skin across your face.
What is Treatment Like?
The first step to rejuvenating your face with the Co2re Face system is to determine what you want out of your appointment. We’ll go over all the applications for this system in your initial consultation. Once we decide what treatments you’re getting, and where on your face they’re located, we can set up your appointment time.
The appointment length will vary depending on which treatments you’re receiving, but most appointments are completed with a few hours. Before we get to work, we’ll apply a topical numbing cream to make the process as straightforward and pain-free as possible. During the appointment, you may feel some pressure and minor pinpricks.
Once your appointment is completed, we’ll go over the best practices for taking care of your new skin. This includes keeping it moisturized and out of the sun. It’s not recommended to wear makeup but highly recommended to wear sunscreen.
